The St. Catherines station is just like the former CFRB when Ted Rogers was the boss. This Astral is for the birds. The announcers are so rude when they accept calls and don't know how to do a proper interview with their guests.
They should check out CBC and take lessons from them NOT BILL CARROLL teaching this style at a community college.
How could he even think of teaching with his attitude and lack of manners.
I agree with you re that fellow that is replacing Bill C... What a difference....Do you think 1010 has a plan? Possibly early retirement for Bill....Jeff
cfrb was dead many years ago and i agree with jamie about the manners. as a child i loved to listen to cfrb with my parents. it is on this station that i learned to love all sorts of music, from classic to jazz to rock, country....you name it they played it. they also had call in talk shows which were fun, informative and interesting to listen to and participate on. i stopped listening years ago. the only reason i have anything to do with it now was my mom would listen for the bonus words/codes and i have to admit we did win a few times, but that was the only reason anyone in this house listened. r.i.p. cfrb.
There will not be an early retirement for Bill C...he himself said that he would def. be back in the new year and that the station is getting really great reviews. These were his final comments before he took off for Christmas break. He did mention that he would be teaching part time at Seneca in 2010. Check out the site lots more prizes have been added...so get those points spent...

CBC1 is very enjoyable. Astral Media screwed CFRB and all their faithful listeners...In the words of Kathy Griffith: "Suck it"
You guys were awsome. Thank you so much for all the words posted. Merry Christmas to all who celebrate and Happy Holidays to you all. -mh
