Yes it is sad the way Astral treat the the CFRB long time listeners.
Replacing the friendly radio personalities that were with CFRB with very opinionated and almost shouting at times bullies that show no respect to anyone who differs with their opinion.
These so called Radio Stars will have the station to themselves shortly.
I think many are taking this too seriously. It is not like your "married" to the station. I am sure there will be more prizes and freebies down the road if that is all your listening for. If that is all you want, there are other stations offering goodies. I myself like listening to something that has an edge and makes you think. "Bullies" make you ask questions and force debate. It is a "talk" show and looks for controversy in any way possible. I am not saying it is "better or "worse" just different, to me not terribly different than before. To each their own. I wish them good luck on change.
They(Astral Media)are the real losers here...I see that many frustrated previous listeners are now seeking other stations. Their "loyal listener" base has just been kiboshed by their own hand. It will be interesting to see who will sponsor a station, thereby paying the salaries...when the main built up (over many years)audience has no more interest in them! I certainly wish a Merry Christmas to all on this blog (unfortunately there is one "Light of Day"?? who posts on EZ Rock, then removes her low, vile, cruel & judgemental comments - who I will be happy never to read a blog from that whack-job again)! Anyway I wanted to thank the people running the show on these blogs on their own free time. Erky Perky - great job & Pak you are a real angel. I know there are more who post regularly and I appreciate all that they have done. Thank you and have a "Great New Year", I'll miss all of you, far more than I will miss the station.
Daily Bonus Words times and point values schedule is as follows: Monday to Friday 6:30am-7am 10:30 am – 11 am 1:30 pm – 2 pm 6:30 pm – 7 pm All bonus codes worth 400 points, including weekend codes. All of the weekend codes will be announced at the same times that they are currently announced. John Donabie's Bonus Code song titles do not change either.
On Saturday listen for the title of the song at 6:20am and 7:20am. On Saturday the code will now be announced between 1:30pm-2pm and the 5pm code between 4:30pm-5pm. On Sundays, listen for the song title at 6:20am, 7:20am and 8:20am. The 2pm code remains right before the news and the 5pm code will be announced between 4:30pm-5pm. Make sure to enter them in lower case. Codes are valid for 24 hours.
Trivia Questions There are new Questions of the Day, located under the "Earn Points" tab, every Monday's and Wednesday's. Choose the correct answer and you have the chance to win 250 points! Remotes Come and visit us at an event and get a bonus code worth 1010 points!
