To Anonymous yesterday at 2:09pm I won a book and no it didnt cost me that many points. It cost me more like 40,000 points i bought about 5 tickets and i think it was 8000 per ticket.

I've got 2 million points to lose and I really don't give a tinker's damn any more, I will not be listening to 1010 or EZ Rock in 2010 anyway. The only thing I will miss is the miniputt! Oh well, what will I do with my free time now? I might even clean the house(nah)! LOL!
I, personally, have never complained -- nor "whined" -- about losing my points. Not even once. But I HAVE complained about the declining quality of programming on CFRB. If it is true that I am going to lose all my points after mindnight, January 1st, then I have even less reason to continue listening to CFRB.
Lately, I have been gradually listening to CFRB less and less, and I have been listening to CBC Radio (99.1 FM, in the Greater Toronto Area) more and more. If things continue in the direction that they are going in (on CFRB), then in the New Year I may very well listen to CBC Radio exclusively!

Just one simple question ... will there be any more auctions (for which I was really saving my points) or do I just blow all my points on the remaining raffles.

We made the decision to remove auctions in order to make it fair for all players and give everyone a fair chance to win prizes. So there will not be any more auctions. thank you,

but ... why did they not mention it sooner but led one to believe that there still will be further auctions

I'm also surprised no talk show host brings this item for discussion ... assuming they will not leave a stone unturned ... unless it's Astral's policy to hush everything up.
Btw ... I realize that this program is a freebe ... and I am grateful to CFRB ... however, had they been open up front, I would have spent my points on auctions ... I have been saving them since the beginning of the program ... I have spend some on raffle items I was interested in ... nevertheless ... I have accumulated over 1 mil points and would have used them up ... even on those CDs or DVDs ...

Well they did give people a heads up. When I Was waiting fo ra response I checked out the Rules section and it says that the program can end at any time. I'm glad they didn't just cut it and we do have some time to spend our points. I never saved up all those points, i would save and spend and save and spend cause there was nothing that good in auctions to buy it was always in raffles!
Reading most of your comments, I agree that CFRB is off the mark. Their morning show is off base. Moore and Carol are becoming too predicatble with their Conservative and Liberal sides (starting to ware me down). Richards is consistantly blabering around and sounds like he's trying to convince himself. Finding 640 better in the AM.
@George I am surprised at Kelowna's answer about the auctions...I too had been saving points for them. How does she think that this is fair? If someone has saved for a long period of time, then they deserve to get a chance at an auction where they have a much better shot at winning something.... I too am disappointed at the way this was handled, Virgin Radio (in the same building, and I believe still a part of Astral Media), should have set the precedent for them...they were honest right from the start when they were ending rewards. What's wrong with this group in "management", all secretive about it, leaving people hanging until 2 weeks prior to it's end? Judi
Daily Bonus Words times and point values schedule is as follows: Monday to Friday 6:30am-7am 10:30 am – 11 am 1:30 pm – 2 pm 6:30 pm – 7 pm All bonus codes worth 400 points, including weekend codes. All of the weekend codes will be announced at the same times that they are currently announced. John Donabie's Bonus Code song titles do not change either.
